On the job

Until one day a young couple passed through. The woman was carrying on her back a little baby-girl, wrapped in a colored band. The baby-girl heard the sighs of the old building andfelt sad about it. She used to love smiles, and she wanted everyone in the world to be happy. She raised her head, and asked: "What happened to you old building? Why are you crying?", The old building was very surprised about the attention of the baby-girl. It was not used to be asked questions by someone. " Why are you sad old building? " Repeated the baby-girl. "I'm sad because I'm old and useless, and above all I feel so lonely."

The girl kept quiet for a moment, and then said: "Do not worry old building. You are neither old nor useless, the problem is that no one has ever understood you. Look how big you are! We'll restructure you, we'll fix your windows, we'll paint your walls, and we'll fill your rooms with chairs and benches. We will make of you a school. You will be colorful and gorgeous. Children will play in your garden, which will be the most bloomy of the village. You'll be surrounded by cheerful little voices of children of all around the world, and you'll never feel lonely anymore. "

An old building

Once upon a time ...

in the village of Lugalo, there was an old building. It was long and dark, with a single door and a narrow corridor with sixteen equal tiny rooms. The floor was cracked, the walls dirty and scraped, the windows were bitten by rats and termites.

The old
building was sad, because no one wanted to live in his dark tiny rooms, and in all those years it had never done any good. Even his owner was telling him: "You are useless! That's what you are! I've built you, and now nobody wants to live here! Your wooden windows have so many holes that I could use them as a colander. Useless! That's what you are...! " And the old building was getting every day darker, every day more sad.
