80 feet
Around the world in eighty feet
An eighty-feet-long wall, which
narrates the story of children of all around the world, that every
morning stand up and start their journey to go to school...
There is who goes to school on
a camel. Who goes on the back of an elephant. Children of
different colors. All of them wake up in the morning, wash
their faces, brush their teeth. And then carrying a schoolbag
on their shoulders they start their journey. Through magic blooming
ways, on the edges of large chaotic
highways, sinking in the freezing snow or in the fiery sand of the
desert. Up and down through the bridges, some of them shaky, with a
fragrance of pine needles; others
majestic and as high as the sky.
And once arrived the children shyly
open the door of the Bridge Preschool, and meet each others. Their
friends are all already there, sitting on small chairs, around small
round tables, ready to draw together a new horizon.

OPENING OF
THE BRIDGE PRESCHOOL
The academic year has started, and so
the Bridge Preschool opened its doors! The first day presented to
school only one little girl... sure, we were kind of feeling down...
but now, after only 7 effective school days, with our great
happiness, the children multiplied like breads and fishes! Look at
them, with how much effort they follow the drawing lesson with
teacher Dady.
And then (finally :-P ) tea break!

On the job
Until one day a young
couple passed through.
The woman was carrying on her back a
little baby-girl,
wrapped in a colored band. The baby-girl heard
the sighs of
the old building andfelt sad about it.
She used to love
smiles, and she wanted
everyone in the world to be happy. She raised
her head, and asked:
"What happened to you old building? Why
are you crying?", The old building was very surprised about
the attention of the baby-girl.
It was not used to be
asked questions by
someone. " Why are you sad old building?
" Repeated the
baby-girl. "I'm
sad because I'm old and useless,
and above all I feel so
lonely."
The girl kept
quiet for a moment, and
then said: "Do not
worry old building. You
are neither old nor useless, the problem is
that no one has ever understood you.
Look how big you are!
We'll restructure you, we'll
fix your windows, we'll paint your walls,
and we'll fill your
rooms with chairs and benches. We will make of you
a school. You will be
colorful and gorgeous.
Children will play in
your garden, which will be the most bloomy of
the village. You'll be surrounded by cheerful little voices of
children of all around
the world, and you'll never feel lonely
anymore. "

An old building
in the village of Lugalo, there was an old building. It was long and dark, with a single door and a narrow corridor with sixteen equal tiny rooms. The floor was cracked, the walls dirty and scraped, the windows were bitten by rats and termites.
The old building was sad, because no one wanted to live in his dark tiny rooms, and in all those years it had never done any good. Even his owner was telling him: "You are useless! That's what you are! I've built you, and now nobody wants to live here! Your wooden windows have so many holes that I could use them as a colander. Useless! That's what you are...! " And the old building was getting every day darker, every day more sad.
